The Accuser Of The Brethren Is The Devil

Share

The accuser of the brethren is the devil; he is the one who works day and night to make sure people fall. The enemy is the source of all lies, he is the source of regret, shame, and condemnation. The enemy tells people that they cannot make it, he tells people that they are hopeless, he tells people that they will never be forgiven, he tells people that they will never make it, he puts people down, he attacks people left, right, and center.

Satan is the wanderer of this world, he is always looking for people to devour, he only comes to kill, steal and destroy, his aim is to drive people to fall.

Job in the Bible was attacked by the enemy, his aim was to drive Job into desperation with the aim of driving him into a situation whereby he would deny God. Satan attacked everything that Job had, including his children, and even went as far as attacking Job’s health. The amazing thing about the story of Job is that God knows those who are His, and likewise does the enemy. The enemy knows those who belong to God, and so he attacks them so that they may get to a point whereby they deny their faith. However, Job knew who he was, and his relationship with God was not based on what he had.

God knew Job’s heart, He knew that even if Satan touched everything that Job had, he would still remain committed to Him.

Satan told the Lord in Job 1:11, “Put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.” However, Job remained standing and he never cursed God.

The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and alert because our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. The enemy is always at work, whether in natural calamities, whether it is in people attacking other people, whether it is in attacking our minds; he is working. Our minds are a battleground, it is where the enemy attacks and introduces thoughts that do not align with the Word of God.

Other people may also be agents of the enemy so we should always be on the watch. Not everyone around us has good intentions, usually, very few people are good-willed. We should be careful about the people we associate with, we should always test the spirits. Just because a person looks good on the outside does not translate into good inside. We should pray for discernment.

The evil we see in this world is from the evil one. Everything good on the other hand comes from God. The Bible tells us evil days are here with us. People have become toys for Satan, some have sold their souls to the devil. Whether it is in music, movies, dressing, way of talking, gestures; there are many routes through which attacks come in.

The devil already knows he is condemned to eternity in hell and he wants to take as many people as possible with him. It can be likened to a person who knows they are guilty going to court and denying everything, and even go to the extent of blaming the person who is innocent. It is the same with the devil, his language is lies, he speaks with the aim of deceiving.

Our sword is the Word of God. We are to study and meditate on the Word and in doing so, we will be able to recognize any attacks from the enemy. Satan is already defeated and he knows it. Christ overcame it all. Through and in Christ, we are more than conquerors.

Blessings.
