The world is full of people with ungodly and unnatural desires. Human beings are born with a fallen nature and live in a fallen world. Lust has consumed many people and led them to do unimaginable acts and say things that leave one wondering what kind of things fill the minds of many people.
Many people’s thoughts are corrupted with evil thoughts and desires. It seems like the same can be said today as in the days of Noah.
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth and it grieved Him to His heart. Genesis 6:5-6.
In the world we leave in, people, including children, have access to evil images, videos, and words. The things people are exposed to on the internet, on T.V, on radio, social media, and such, have led to the deterioration of the morals of society. Nowadays sin is promoted everywhere you turn. It seems like sin is the new ‘normal’ for too many people in society. People will say and do sinful things and yet be referred to as ‘good’ people.
Many people try to justify their evil ways by saying that they are ‘just human’. The ways of many people today are carnal, even among most who call themselves Christians.
The world is deceived, it is full of blind people who are very influential and who have behind them multitudes of people who follow them blindly. It seems like the most popular people in the world today especially online are those who give their followers what they want.
Because the desires and imaginations of many people are evil, there are many influential people who have risen up to feed people’s minds with their imaginations, and as a result, such people have captured many followers. The more lust-provoking a person’s online updates are, the more popular they seem to become. This shows clearly the state of many people’s hearts and the extent of moral deterioration.
Many relationships nowadays seem to be sustained by sex and many people will walk away if their partner refuses to be sexually intimate with them.
Fornication has been normalized to the extent that those who choose to honor God and not fornicate are seen as if they are weird. Many people in such relationships then push the boundaries of normal sexual behavior and introduce perverted and unnatural ways in order to try and satisfy their lust-filled hearts.
Many people are manipulating their partners to engage in behaviors that are extremely degrading. It seems there are people who are never satisfied with how God designed intimacy to be, and as a result, they start to push boundaries and cross lines and start engaging in demonic acts, all in the name of satisfying themselves or their partner.
There is too much perversion in the world today. There are too many people whose minds are full of extreme levels of perversion, who most of the time may appear as normal members of society because they have managed to put on a near-perfect external mask. However, behind closed doors, such people are some of the most evil people you can ever encounter.
Many people live double lives.
On one side they appear like responsible hardworking people, they will show you what you want to see, and many are some of the most charming people you will ever meet; they have learned how to use their tongues to deceive with smooth honey-coated words. On the other side, the same people at extremely proud, arrogant, liars, backbiters, slanders, extremely abusive, sexually immoral; sin-laden people with no fear of God who have perfected putting on an outer deceptive mask. When you deal with such people and you get an experience with them on both sides, you would think that you are dealing with two different people.
Adultery is a huge problem today. It seems like many people are not satisfied with their partner and they start going outside their marriage to satisfy their lust. People will give you all sorts of reasons as to why they are cheating on their spouse, usually in an attempt to elicit pity and justify their sin. They forget that marriage is sacred and adultery is sin. God Himself will judge adulterers.
Let marriage be held in honor by all, and the bed undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4.
There are other people who are addicted to pornography, both the single and the married alike. Pornography industry seems to be a booming business, an evidence that it has heavy consumers. Many people spend hours upon hours on their screens lusting on pornographic images of people who are being used by the devil to expose their bodies for monetary gains and in the process capture the souls of multitudes.
Many pornography users usually have an excuse for their behaviors; maybe it is because they were abused as children, maybe because they are frustrated in life, others say it is because they do not have a partner, others say it is because their partner is not satisfying them, and so many other excuses. However, no matter what their excuse is, their actions are sin and they will face judgement if they do not repent.
There are people who are consumed with masturbation and have used that as a way to please their flesh. The sad thing is some of such people are even married yet they are addicted to pleasing their flesh and satisfying their carnal desires by themselves. Many marriages are falling apart because people within marriages are addicted to pornography and masturbation, and some are demanding perverse things from their partners and in doing so they are defiling the marriage bed.
Many people do not know how to love their partner and have confused lust with love.
Too many people erroneously think that a marriage certificate gives them the license to practice every imagination they have ever had in their minds on their partner, they do not stop and ask themselves if those desires are godly or not.
Many people in marriages are being treated with no dignity by their partners who do and say unimaginable deeds and words to them. Too many people enter marriages filled with lust and think that they will use the marriage to quench that lust. They forget that lust cannot be quenched and will lead them into wanting more and more and push them into extreme levels of perversion.
Today it seems many men are now attracted sexually to other men and women to their fellow women. There are also older people nowadays that seem to be attracted sexually to children and end up ruining those children’s lives. Satan is very crafty and keeps tempting people to want more and more of something until their desires consume them and eventually lead them to destruction.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6.
There are other people who are driven by the desire to acquire earthly riches. Such people will go to great lengths to amass money in their banks, no matter the cost, whether it involves destroying other people’s lives in the process or even selling their souls to the devil.
Others are driven by fame and popularity and have mastered portraying the image that people want to see in order for them to be accepted by the world. Others are lusting after other people’s property and may even end up planning robbery and even murder so that they can acquire what belongs to the other person. There are others who lust after other people’s spouses, children, or lifestyles. It is common nowadays to see someone going after a married person out of jealousy in order to destroy that family.
Crimes motivated by hatred, jealousy, greed, and blatant lust are very common in the world today.
Beware of who you keep close to you because many people will try to get close in order to have access to your life. Some people get close to you because they are jealous of you, or because they have noticed a vulnerability in you that they can exploit, or because they want to gain something from interacting with you, or because they want to use you – whether it is using your body, your money, or use your position for their gain, or use you to improve their image to others, or use you to progress in life.
There are many people who will smile at you yet in their hearts they are planning evil toward you. Many people know exactly what they want from you when they approach you. Sadly, we live in a world where many people use others as a means to an end, to achieve what they want. Do not be fooled by external appearances.
And He said, that which come out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:20-23.
