We have to reach a point in our lives where we come into agreement with God. We come into agreement with God’s Word and His plan for our lives. We have to reach a point where we completely die to self and let God have His way in our lives. God knows best and He knows what is best for us, we have to let go and stop clinging on to our ideas of what life should be like.
God speaks to us in many ways, but many people tend to ignore that voice of God constantly, it even reaches a point where they cannot hear God anymore because they are so entangled with the cares and worries and plans of this world. We cannot serve two masters, we cannot have two Lords over our lives, we have to choose.
We can either choose Jesus or we can choose the world, but let us never forget that choices have consequences and that we reap what we sow.
We are in this world for a temporary and a short period, we do not know what the future holds. But those who trust in the Lord have nothing to worry about, God’s got them covered. We have to make difficult choices, we have to choose who to follow. Do we believe that God is who He says He is? Do we believe that God does what He says He will do? Do we believe that the Bible contains the Word of God, breathed and inspired by Him? Do we believe in heaven and hell? Do we do what God says in His Word? Have we come into agreement with God?
We have to pray for God to open up our spiritual eyes so that we start seeing things and people as He sees them. We have to repent of our sins and go back to our first Love. God loves us but He can never force Himself on us. The Holy Spirit does convict us but eventually leaves the choice of whether we obey Him or not to us.
Most of us walk blind most of our lives, spiritually blind. We go after things that have no eternal significance, we pursue human relationships that God has already rejected, we go after money, power, fame, recognition, and worldly significance. We forget that without God everything in this world loses meaning. There is no point of having everything in this world but in the end losing eternal life.
We are to seek the Kingdom of God first. If God then blesses us with wealth and other things then we praise Him. But we should never make an idol out of anything in this world, God should always come first, Jesus should be the Lord of our lives. We have to live a life of obedience to God’s Word. This world is full of deception and only in God do we find the truth. Truth is not found in other people, it is not found in buildings, it is not found in things of this world; the truth is only found in God.
Come into agreement with God. This means seeing things as God sees them, seeing people as God sees them, studying the Word of God and doing as the Word says, obeying the Holy Spirit when He convicts us of something, trusting in God with all our hearts, mind, soul, and strength. It means total reliance on God and total obedience to His Word.
We come to a point where we realize that without God, we are not. We come to a point where we know that God is all-powerful and when He says He will do something He actually does it regardless of the resistance we may face from other people. When He says He hates sin we better believe it, repent and turn away from sin. When He says He will bless us we better believe it.
God is the Creator of all, everything belongs to Him, He does as it pleases Him. He wills us good. He has good plans for us. The thoughts He thinks towards us are good. We will all be judged according to the life we live in this world; those who reject Him will be thrown into the lake of fire together with Satan and his demons, and those who live for God will inherit eternal life.
God loves us and He does not want us to perish, yet, at the same time, He gives us a choice to choose. He has told us clearly in His Word who He is and what He expects from us. May we choose wisely.
“And every created thing which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, ‘To Him who seats on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.’ And the four living creatures kept on saying, ‘Amen’ And the elders fell down and worshiped.” Revelations 5:13-14.
God will always remain God.
Blessings.
