Sin is sin

Sin Is Sin, And God Hates Sin

Share

God is holy and He hates sin. Sin is sin. Any sin is distasteful in His sight, whether it is public sin or a private sin. We always try to rationalize and judge others. We consider what others have done worse than what we have done or said. We can be self-righteous, seeing others as worse than us. Maybe we do things a certain way and others do not and we start judging them in our hearts.

Any sin will eventually lead to hell if a person is unrepentant. Pride and self-righteousness are usually what cause us to judge others and consider ourselves better. The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. God looks at the heart; before we ever consider judging others, let us first make sure that our hearts are right with God.

Indulging in worldly pleasures usually leads to sin. When we are led by thirst for pleasure, we end up going against God’s will. The carnal mind is enmity against God.

We are living in the end times. The Bible states clearly what will happen and is already happening. People have become lovers of themselves, for most people all they think of is themselves and go after self-fulfillment; there is greed for money all around us; people have become boastful, arrogant, and abusive without any regard for others; disobedient to parents; people have become ungrateful and have no respect for what is holy; the society has been pervaded with unforgiveness, heartlessness, slander, brutality; there is no self-control and no love for good; friends betray each other, people are reckless and puffed up with pride; people have become lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; people act religious but they reject the power of God. Among such people, there are men who creep into homes and captivate vulnerable women weighed down with sin and led astray by various passions. Such people oppose the truth, they are depraved in the mind and disqualified from faith. However, the Bible says that they will not get very far, for their folly will eventually be plain to all people.

The Bible is very clear; the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

We cannot live in sin and then lie to ourselves that we will go to heaven. We cannot live for worldly pleasures and yet expect to enjoy eternal life. We cannot walk in the wide path and expect it to lead us to heaven. The devil is the deceiver of this world; he lies to people that they can do what they want and that God will understand. We cannot live in sin and expect God to approve of it. There has to be an effort on our part; living a God-pleasing life does not come automatically. We cannot ask for God’s forgiveness then go on living the same kind of life; there has to be a turn-around, 180 degrees. Repenting means turning away from sin and not merely saying sorry.

If we are willing to obey God, He will empower us to by His Spirit.

The world is full of all kinds of wickedness; hatred, envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice;  the world is full of gossipers, backstabbers, haters of God; spiteful, proud, boasters; inventors of evil things. Many people have become senseless, they do not keep promises, and do not show love even to their own families or mercy to others. God’s judgement is based on truth. We have the choice to choose how to live on earth, but when that judgement day comes, time to repent will have run out. There will be no having our way, or bribing, or anything else we are used to in this world. Choices have consequences.

The wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God! It is as simple as the Bible states. We should not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor extortioners; none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. It is really as simple as that, let those who have ears hear. Such things are works and fruits of the flesh. The Bible says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

When people follow the desires of sinful nature, the results are very clear; sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.

We are either led by the carnal mind or by the Spirit. We cannot be led by both. We have to choose. When we come to a point where we choose God, He empowers us. There is no one who is righteous, not even one. However, when we accept Christ and repent, our sins are washed away and remembered no more. Only God is righteous. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus is righteous and that is why by His blood we are saved. He became sin for us because He was sinless. When He died and resurrected, He defeated sin and death. When we accept Jesus, we are clothed with His righteousness, and when God looks at us, He only sees the righteousness of Christ Jesus His Son. We have no capacity to save ourselves, only Jesus saves.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through Jesus Christ.

Blessings.
